Malvern Museum of Local History
Priory Gatehouse, Abbey Road
Our small, independent museum is located in the centre of Great Malvern, within 5 minutes walk of Malvern Priory and the Tourist Information Centre. The museum is a registered charity, and is run entirely by enthusiastic and friendly volunteers.
Our main displays include geology, the medieval priory, the Water Cure, Victorian Malvern, and 20th century Malvern (including the Malvern Festival and the Radar establishments).
Children can dress up as Benedictine monks, as poor peasant boys and girls, or as First World War soldiers and nurses. Families are challenged to build a castle, guess what the scientist might be doing, or take part in our QR code trail. Audio guides offer gentle, often amusing glimpses into our rich past.
